You can select books appropriate for your interests and needs, by considering the 25 generic categories, their sub-categories, and close links to other generic categories prefaced by also see.
Global Foresight Books can be listed in two or more categories (e.g., a book on climate change and agriculture).
Many categories overlap. Books on very specific but important topics (e.g. homelessness, migration, gender issues) are not listed under the major categories so as to keep these categories from being over-diluted.
The 25 problem-oriented and multidisciplinary categories used by GFB are generally aligned with standard departments or agencies of any national government (security/defense, agriculture, environment, treasury, commerce/business, education, health, transportation, urban affairs, justice) or with major problem areas (climate change, water, sustainability, development/anti-poverty, economic/financial crisis) and encourage a broad perspective.
